Jon Vitto who also goes by “JV” is an industrial designer and food enthusiast based in New York, NY.

Growing up, sketching was always his favorite hobby (alongside eating). He started drawing superheroes and landscapes as a kid and moved on to cars and gadgets in high school. This eventually led him to pursue industrial design. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Industrial Design from the University of the Philippines Diliman in Metro Manila.

He worked in Manila for a few years, with an amazing opportunity to work with Budji Layug, a renowned furniture designer in the Philippines.

In 2008, he moved to the US for graduate studies at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence, Rhode Island. In his graduate thesis, he was able to merge his passions for food and design. He earned his Master’s Degree in Industrial Design in 2010.

He landed a job in New York City after graduation and has lived in the city since then.

JV always injects an element of fun and light-heartedness in everything he designs. He continues to work in the city where he not only gets to pursue his passion for traditional product design, but also explores, eats and enjoys the limitless food the city has to offer.
