Hibiscus Ceramic Wall Art
Depicted on this 6” x 6” ceramic plate is a hibiscus, which is prolific in the Philippines. This was done at the ColorMeMine Studio which took 3 sessions to finish. I was inspired by Georges Seurat’s pointillist technique known to be used in his popular painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte that I saw in the Art Institue of Chicago. I experimented with the technique by using glaze paint on ceramic to see how it translated in a different medium. I was pleased with the outcome.
